ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Incumbent will assist the IA Manager in obtaining and managing certification and accreditation of systems and networks. Provide assistance in the review, application, and maintenance of information assurance policies, procedures, and C&A documentation efforts. Assist System Administrators in security, analyses, and risk/vulnerability assessments. Analyze network and stand-alone systems and enclaves in unclassified and classified environments for compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) security configuration requirements and industry best practices. Establish, monitor, and re-assess system Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs). May be responsible for review of policies and procedures, system & network diagrams, descriptions, SOP's, previous certification and accreditation documents; compiling and generating deliverables; conducting Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) for accreditation or re-accreditation; analyzing ST&E results; assess, determine, and describe risks associated to the results. Review systems for configuration and compliance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a Security+ or higher DoD 8570 directed certification or the ability to obtain one in six months. A two year degree or higher in a related field is desired. Incumbent must have demonstrated experience in DoD certification and accreditation frameworks and processes and IA principles and practices. Demonstrated experience in some or all of the following is desired: Assisting in obtaining and managing security certification and accreditation of systems and/or networks; Assisting in the review, application, and maintenance of information assurance policies; Review and maintenance of certification plans and accreditation documentation; Performing security, analyses and risk/vulnerability assessments; Conducting security tests and evaluations.
